About LabExpress

LabExpress is a media kitchen, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We produce quality, affordable culture media including agar plates and fly food. We also sell chemicals/supplies used in our productions.

I earned a bachelor's degree in Biophysics from Fudan Univ, China, and a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Penn State U., studying the mechanism of self-incompatibility in Petunia inflata. I did postdoc work on insulin signaling pathway in C. elegans at U. of Michigan. I started the business in 2008 and am learning along the way. I strive to deliver quality products/services to customers in a timely manner and feel contented every day knowing that scientists are benefitting from my efforts.
